Jean Williams began her fight against breast cancer in the fall of 2013. Her children, who are in high school, had to leave to stay with her sister while she underwent chemotherapy and radiation. To deal with the physical and emotional stress of her cancer treatments, she joined a support group at the Montefiore Medical Center and was partnered with a cancer survivor named Silvia, who supports and motivates her through her illness.
These images were taken for different projects over the course of the last six years, all with different lighting and styles.
